What is RSS?RSS stands for "really simple syndication" and it's one of the easiest ways for businesses to stay in touch with clients, customers, site visitors, and interested strangers without using SPAM or other annoying marketing practices. RSS allows you, the user, to subscribe to specific "feeds" of information. For example, if you find the information on this site interesting and want to know when new content is added or news links are posted, you can receive notifications from our site via RSS. Most sites with an RSS feed will have some sort of link to it that looks like one of these:
How it worksWhen an RSS author posts a new article, a news aggregator on the reader's computer will visit the author's site automatically and downloads the content. The news aggregator helps the reader keep track of unread feeds much like an e-mail client. The nicest thing about RSS is that you generally don't end up with a bunch of unwanted e-mail messages or worse, you don't run the risk of missing information because of a SPAM filter. So often we have information we like getting from a website that gets filtered away when it hits our inbox. With RSS, you can use any number of news aggregators to read, archive, and share information from the web. More information on setting up your aggregator can be found by clicking here. Our RSS FeedWe have an RSS feed that we are starting up here at Return2Play.com. It will have news, ideas, and information that we feel all our visitors and clients can use. Also, on our site we have a page where we pull in feeds from a few select sites that you can come and read. Find out more about our feed by clicking here. See the feeds we have from others by clicking here.
